Women's Pelvic Floor Therapy

Stressed about coughing or sneezing in public? We know why.
Overwhelmed by chronic pain but not ready for another muscle relaxer? We can help!

Understanding and adjusting treatment to accommodate your unique needs is one of the specialties of Westlake Hospital’s Women’s Pelvic Floor Therapy program. Our therapists work with you to design a program that works to meet your goals and improve your overall health and quality of life.

Pelvic Floor therapy for women focuses on special needs and conditions that occur in women or affect women differently, including:

  • Incontinence
  • Pregnancy/high-risk pregnancy
  • Pelvic pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Lymphedema
  • Fibromyalgia

What to Expect

A doctor’s referral is required for enrollment into the women’s pelvic floor physical therapy program. Throughout your sessions, we remain in close contact with your doctor to ensure consistency in your treatment plan.

We offer early morning and evening therapy hours to work with your busy schedule, and most sessions take about 45 minutes. We do our best to make sure you meet with the same physical therapists each time you visit, for greater comfort and accurately recorded progress. The Outpatient Physical Therapy Department at Westlake Hospital is located in the lower level of the Professional Office Building.
